Introducing Symetria! Designed by Vicki Taylor and proudly 100% made in NZ.

Symetria was conceived in 2018 as our Northern Hemisphere brand. It is sold each season from our Paris based Showroom during Paris Fashion Week. Being designed by Vicki, and working through the same design and production channels as taylor, there are obvious similarities and design extensions that compliment the taylor brand.

In our first 3 seasons of working and selling internationally we are proud to have established a following from selected stockists in Milan, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Beirut, Cairo, Boston, Georgia, China, and we are excited to announce our exclusive UK release with Selfridges in London this season.

Selfridges is the only store to be named the 'Best Department Store in the World' four times. Selfridges today is more than just the sum of its products - it's a shopping experience that promises to surprise, amaze and amuse its customers by delivering extraordinary customer experiences. We are very excited to see our brand Symetria is sitting proudly amongst fashion royalty like CELINE, Dries Van Noten and UMA WANG in Designer Gallery 1.

With today's current situation, our buying and selling trips have all been struck from our calendars - we sadly will not get to see this in reality. Having been immersed in fashion for over 20 years designing successful collections for the New Zealand market; Vicki Taylor turned her attention to sharing her unique perspective with a growing international clientele.

Symetria is designed for the creatively curious mind that delights in considered contradictions and interrupted perfection. A calm and confident exploration of form, Symetria is derived from geometric and linear inspirations. Navigating the relationship between fluidity and geometric strength, the experimental nature of Symetria is grounded in wearable pragmatism characteristic of the brand's antipodean home.

Imbued with a quiet confidence each garment is designed with longevity in mind, created with multi-purpose usage that invites the wearer to explore, personalise and prolong the lifecycle of each piece. Symetria is consciously created, using natural fibres and hand-selected ethical fabrications where possible. All garments are ethically made in our home New Zealand.

Symetria Part 03 draws inspiration from the “Black Watercolour” series (created in 1983) by German Artist Joachim Bandau. The minimalistic style of the paintings draws feelings of interacting shadows, photographic film and a layering process built through transparency.

Our skilled pattern makers create their own artistic workings, resulting in interpretations of the singular simplistic rectangle and the movement of this shape, creating the basis for the tiled series of garments that backbone the range.

The brands latest accolade includes Symetria Part 03 retailing in the prestigious Selfridges in London, along with a selection of other stockists throughout the world. In just its third collection, to have the honour of sitting next to Celine and Dries Van Noten in one of the most reputable stores in the world is a dream come true and a highlight to be celebrated.
