ENTERTAIN THIS SOCIAL SEASON WITH THE 'AIRMAIL' COCKTAIL

The weather is heating up and evenings can be spent basking in the moonlight at dinner parties or celebrating the end of another great year with friends or business associates. If you are in the habit of entertaining, making a cocktail is customary to set a tone for your event. One of our favourite drinks here at taylor is the classic and cool Airmail. The name derives from being the quickest way to get letters from A to B. The drink originally appeared in the 1949 Handbook for Hosts by Esquire magazine and since has being under the radar as a softly masculine drink with its rum undertones, yet feminine with its sparkling top of champagne and sweetener of honey. As summer has not completely set in during the month December, this cocktail is the perfect balance of a drink that is refreshing as well as it is warming. With limes now in-season and a wonderful array of New Zealand honey to choose from, the Airmail cocktail is definitely a crowd pleaser!
